Nike Men's Zoom Structure 21 Running Shoe
Dynamic Support midsole consists of dual density Phylon and Cushlon foams for a soft feel with resilient cushioning.
Crash pad at the bottom of the heel is a decoupled, gender-specific unit that reduces impact shock and corrects over pronation.
Zoom Air located in the forefoot consists of low-profile pressurized air pockets that flex on contact for responsive cushioning.
Duralon Blown Rubber located in the forefoot provides multi-surface traction.
Waffle outsole design provides improved multi-surface traction and a touch of cushioning.
BRS 1000 carbon rubber provides durable traction.
Deep Anatomical Flex Grooves offer flexibility and mobility for a smooth ride.
Warp-knit mesh is a seamless mesh comprised of monofilament yarns that improves breathability and creates a lighter material than previous versions.
Dynamic Flywire flattened out and widened, along the medial side and half the lateral side, provides superior lockdown and unmatched fit while reducing the shoes overall weight.
Dynamic Fit integrated flywire cables with an internal band around the midfoot for increased arch support and an adaptive fit.
Inner mesh bootie give a soft, sock-like fit with notches on the side of the tongue for easy on and off.
Internal heel counter wraps around the achilles, providing a secure fit.
With its enhanced underfoot cushioning, pronation control, and discernible waffle outsole this is Nike's idealized stability shoe. I suppose a few barefoot enthusiast will dismiss the flywire and blown up outsole as a complete compromise or something, but by any normal standard it's clearly the finest version of the Structure even if they have turned off the gimmicks in pursuit of reliability. Not that they've lost quality or credibility or style. The full redesign gets the shoe to two new places instead of none: Ride built to meet the daily training needs of moderate overpronators."Revamped look." Wear it all the time. This one deserves it.
