Imperceptible though the movement has been to many in the running community, the GT 1000 series has evolved. In fact, this incarnation is the perhaps the most comfortable, shock absorbing, smooth fitting daily use trainer produced in the series to date. Even the Impact Guidance System, a feature that can often add heft, works in conjunction with engineered mesh to keep the weight minimal and the fit smooth creating a feeling that reminds me like nothing else that what people loved about the 1000 series in the first place was comfort and durability. And while some running purists will uphold barefoot over cushioning, my instincts (not to mention skepticism) tell me that in this case comfort outweighs naturalism.
