Their fit is so contained that as you wind down the Pine lined path in the dimming light you warm against your better judgement to the grip created on the icy path, every step with more and more well-spaced strides. You figure that the growing ease with the conditions may be in the acclimation but you soon learn that these trail shoes aren't being trail specific to justify their existence. It's more like they're trail specific to ensure your existence. Rather than resorting to weight and bulk it encourages a smooth transition, lightweight cushioning and water resistance. It's hard to imagine a winter trail shoe designed better. But it's not hard to imagine your winter running practices getting better. Which in the end is maybe all seasonal running needs.
