First you notice that the shoe really is quite comfortable and soft, with its BioMoGo DNA midsole and all. Then you consider that the rethink might be detrimental, how could this possibly be a "GTS" for those in need of stability if the cushioning and plushness seems to exist in abundance to where it never did before? But if you keep at it and pour in the miles it starts to reveal its resilience and it becomes clear Brook's has retained a sense of history, which is more than you can say for most shoes who update and remove elemental parts of previous incarnations. And that's how the shoe goes- soft and reliable but aware of its reputation amongst the running world. N.B: If you're considering long contemplative runs, which is certainly one of my favorite forms of running, the GTS 19 wants to make it perfectly clear that it's still the "Go-To Shoe".
