My wife and I bought a pair each. While they provide nice lighting we often found that they were dead at the beginning of a run. After further research we found that the batteries had to be taken out after each use or they continue to slowly drain even when switched off. Seems very poorly engineered. Now we rarely use them and have opted to go with real flash lights that don't use power when shut off. I use a Nite Ize headband strap to hold the flashlight, with my hands, so I don't have to tire my hands holding the flashlight. I find it works well....doesn't look as nice as the knucklelights but much more reliable and saves a lot of dead batteries.

No driver can say they don't see me coming ☺️. Given they are hard plastic, they are still comfortable and light. The visibility on trails and unlit areas is fantastic and by far outweighs the long shipping time and annoyed sales person when I was picking up the item at the store.

I'm on my second pair of Knuckle Lights. The first pair had a problem with battery life and I could only get one run out of a set of batteries. Their customer service is amazing and they sent me a new pair in the mail.

The second pair is great! I prefer them over a headlamp because I can angle my hands downward when approaching another person on the pathway - they can still see me but they don't get blinded. The area of light that they provide is also pretty good. They definitely have an issue in the cold when it comes to battery life and the light is not nearly as bright when the temperature goes below -10.
    • Great for night running and keeping hands free

I have had these about a week now. Drivers can see me, and I can wave my hands as I'm getting ready to cross the street to catch their attention if they haven't noticed I'm there as it flashes in their eyes. I get smiles from pedestrians and drivers, so that definitely doesn't hurt!

I've read reviews that the batteries don't last long in cold temperatures. Thus far I've had them outside for 45 mins/time between -5C to +5C. No issues. It was quite foggy here in St.John's the other night, which made the light not quite as visible to drivers. But I felt as though in foggy conditions it will be a challenge finding something that beats the fog.

This is my first time running with some kind of light. I have not run with a headlamp, but the amount of light these throw off, together with other reflective gear I feel quite safe! A+!

I wasn't sure I needed these lights at first. I wear reflective gear and I figured I was safe. I live in the country and I run first thing in the morning before work. In the spring and fall it is pitch black. I had drivers passing me and swerving at the last minute. I thought these drivers were being careless and not paying attention until my husband passed me on his way to work and said he could not see me very well at all.

These lights are wonderful. Not only do drivers see me but because they see the light from so far away, that they slow down to be aware of what they are seeing. Of course living in the country, not a lot of drivers pass me, but it only takes one to get hit. My husband told me that now he can, "See me from quite a distance and this gets a drivers attention, and gives them plenty of time to react."

The first time I used the lights, it was a little hard to get used to the bouncing of the lights and the shadows they caused, but less than the first km into the run I was used to it. I am sure in town you would not notice the movement of the lights and they would not cause shadows because of the street lights etc. They light a nice wide path, and are really bright even on the lower setting. The rubber straps are very comfortable and easy to adjust.

These lights are a must and I would recommend them to anyone!
